MY TASKS:

Develop strong organization branding through redesigning their website, attire, social media platforms, and monthly newsletters.

MY ROLE:

I have been part of the nonprofit organization, Boston Hurricanes, as an athlete since 2012. Throughout my time with the organization, the executive team had offered me several freelance design opportunities. At the beginning of Summer 2020, I was officially invited to join their executive team as the lead designer.

PROJECTS / CHALLENGES:

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we were no longer able to continue our normal in-person activities and were forced to rapidly transition to online platforms in order to engage with our community. 

Projects for this summer include the following:

This was one of the larger projects for the summer, but COVID has created a problem in developing the amount of content we need for the redesign so the final product is scheduled for completion in 2020.

I created a promotional image to be promoted on Facebook and Instagram. The results are we reached 1,349 people on Facebook and 396 on Instagram.

I helped create the imagery on our GoFundMe page and helped promote it through social media. In one month we were able to raise $4820 of our goal of $5000.
